3-D Animation

Pegasus

Programs: Maya, Z-brush, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Unreal Engine 5, Photo Shop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.

Pegasus is a 4-and-a-half-minute film showing a brief part of the history of horses. From the beginning of mankind's relationship with the horse, up to their use by the romans for entertainment and warfare. My goal was telling a story using nothing but the camera and environment to show the progression of mankind through the use of the horse.

The Circle

Program: Maya, Unreal Engine

The Circle is a 2-minute film using rigs from Turbo Squid and assets from Unreal Engine.  This experience allowed me to gain skills and knowledge in environmental set up and outdoor lighting.

Quarters

Programs: Maya, Unreal Engine, Substance Painter

Quarters is a short 30-second animation about two older men trying to settle who will pay the bill at the local pub. The model was bought through Turbo Squid and the environment was created in Maya and textured in Substance Painter. Halfway through the project, I switched from Maya render software to Unreal Engine. In learning the new software, a higher level of difficulty was rewarded by faster rendering time.

Fox Trot

Programs: Maya

Fox Trot is my first quadruped walk cycle. My goal was to get a better understanding of the movements of quadruped animals. I got the model through RIT and used it to create the animation.

The Woodsman

Programs: Maya

The Woodsman was a short animation that challenged my ability to use various types of character rigs.

Space Squid

Programs: Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Premiere

This was my senior project for my last semester at college. I wanted to tell a funny and original story that not only looked good but, sounded good. I made sure that the project was short and manageable so that I could focus on what was important to telling the story . The main idea that went through my head while making the project was to go for quality not quantity.

Machine Conveyor

Program: Maya

For this project, I created a mechanical arm and a conveyor belt to move a simple square from one conveyor to the other. My goal was to create robotic movement.

First Created Character Talk

Program: Maya

This is one of my first characters. My goal was to have the character say a line from a show and match the line to the mouth movements.

Character Talk

Program Maya

This is one of my first animations making a character talk. the line used was a free sound bit from the movie Shrek. My goal for this project was to make the characters mouth and body movement match up with what he was saying.
