Blades

Inspired by the table top game "Blades in the Dark." This piece is a short introduction for the game showing the progression of how one might play the game. The character art is owned by John Harper who was kind enough to allow me to use them in the work. I extracted and modified different pictures of old houses and then imported them into After Effects. I then created pins for the characters turning them into puppets. I began giving life using Expressions, different effects, 3D layers, and music to help it come to life.

Light House

Inspired by Jerry. McElroy's Montauk Lighthouse, 2015, Light House is a short piece using After Effects. First, I used Photoshop to extract assets from the painting and then separated them into layers. Finally, I imported the layers into After Effects allowing me to depict motion through a number of different effects, expressions, and 3D layers.  I also added sound to help sell the illusion of bringing the painting to life.
